Sabotage

Preface
Sabotage is the pinnacle of the economic game on Oil-Imperium, and probably the greatest challenge that a player can face.
As an integral part of Oil-Imperium, the Sabotage feature expands the possibilities of setting yourself apart from your opponents!
Please note in particular that this is by no means a war game! Sabotage can quickly become addictive and will captivate you!
You can carry out a wide variety of actions, from stealing raw materials to manipulating data to deliberately weakening the economic performance of your opponents.
Warning:
- Sabotage is not for beginners and starters, it requires appropriate gaming experience and is therefore only possible from the Player Rank Amateur!
- Sabotage actions also do not only make friends in the game, so keep a certain tact when selecting your targets!
- Continue to observe the rules for good behavior!
- see also Espionage
Requirements for sabotage
- You have complied with the Account Agreements in accordance with the Terms and Conditions!
- Your own Player Rank must be at least Amateur!
- You must have a saboteur available on the oilfield from which the sabotage action is to start.
- A spy report from a vulnerable player must be available. (Spying)
- The total account balance (liquid assets) of all your oilfields must be positive.
- Sufficient liquid assets must be available on the oilfield from which the sabotage action is to start.
- One and the same field can be successfully sabotaged a maximum of every 60 hours (refers to 1 attacker).
- A player can be sabotaged a maximum of 3 times within 60 hours (refers to 1 attacker).
- If you are a member of a corporation, the player being attacked must not be a member of a corporation with which your corporation has a non-aggression pact.
- No defense satellite (sabotage protection) may be activated
Attention:
- If all requirements are met, sabotage is possible!
- If you use other accounts in accordance with the account agreements, you are not allowed to spy/sabotage.
Players who can be attacked
- Players of the rank "Starter" and "Beginner" are generally under puppy protection and cannot be sabotaged. In return, these players cannot engage in sabotage or espionage themselves.
- Players of the same rank can be sabotaged. (e.g. your own rank is lone fighter, the opponent's player rank is lone fighter)
- Players of a higher rank can be sabotaged. (e.g. your own rank is lone fighter, the opponent's player rank is manager or higher)
- Players whose rank is a maximum of 1 rank lower than your own can be sabotaged. (e.g. your own rank is lone fighter, the opponent's player rank is employee)
- Inactive players (green mark on the map) can be sabotaged.
- Blocked players (red mark on the map) cannot be sabotaged either.
- Players with 100% sabotage protection (orange mark on the map) can be sabotaged.
- Note
- An orange mark in the selection list of your spy reports means that the player has booked a surveillance satellite and thus has 100% protection against sabotage.
- These players can be attacked, but the saboteur will never be successful in his sabotage action.
- A sabotage action therefore makes no sense in this case, but would be possible.
Start sabotage action
To send your saboteur to a sabotage action against one of your opponents, you must first switch to the sabotage menu!
There are basically 3 different ways to reach the sabotage menu, see also the selection menus on the side.
- In the Accommodation above the Sabotage specialists tab.
- In the Action selection menu, if via the Sabotage button.
- Via the Messages menu when you can perform a Sabotage quest.
To start the sabotage action, 3 steps are necessary:
- Step 1 - Select saboteur
- select the desired saboteur,
- click on show to confirm the selection
- Step 2 - Select target
- select your targets using the 5 selection menus
- you can view the available spy reports using the "X"
- you can mark targets with a white dot for your planned sabotage action
- in the info box below, you will see the details of the target field
- Step 3: Select action
- select the desired action from 5 actions, taking into account the skills of your saboteur
- if a sabotage quest was selected via the message menu, an additional selection field appears to confirm acceptance of the sabotage quest for the selected saboteur confirm
Once you have made your selection, you confirm the sabotage action by clicking on "send for free" and your saboteur is on his way!
- Notes
- Keep an eye on the costs, each action costs more or less money depending on the skills of the saboteur.
- After successfully or unsuccessfully completing the sabotage action, the saboteur sets off back again.
- The saboteur receives experience points for the sabotage action.
Uncovering sabotage
- Note that your saboteur can be caught during a successful sabotage. In this case, your opponent has the opportunity to report the act of sabotage in court.
- If he files a complaint, your Saboteur will be taken into custody and will only be released after the verdict.
- Only successful acts of sabotage are discovered randomly. The probability of discovery is relatively low (<1% of the total mass) and cannot be influenced. Neither by the attacker nor the victim. In the event of discovery, both receive a notification.
